What Boiler Brands Do We Repair?

    Combi Boiler Repairs

Thames Boilers provides top-notch repair services for combi boilers – highly favoured by Kidbrooke homeowners due to their compact footprint and impressive energy efficiency.

Common problems that we deal with include:

    • Stuck diverter valves
    • Pressure relief valve failures leading to boiler pressure dilemmas
    • Condensate pipe complications, especially when Jack Frost visits and the pipe can freeze, causing the boiler to call it a day.

Our Kidbrooke-based engineers excel at detecting and rectifying these niggles swiftly, meaning your combi boiler will be steaming away again in no time.

    Vaillant Boiler Repairs

Vaillant boilers are renowned for their quality, but like any boiler, they can experience issues over time. We often encounter faults such as not hot water and F75, F22, and F62 fault codes. At Thames Boilers we’re experienced in diagnosing and rectifying all such issues. Remember, if we can’t fix your Vaillant boiler, you only pay a small fee for the engineer’s visit.

    Ideal Boiler Repairs

Ideal Boilers have earned themselves a strong home presence in the UK due to their steadfast reliability and energy conservation capabilities. Nevertheless, they can at times encounter complications, such as problems with printed circuit boards, or run into L1 and L2 fault codes. This is where we come in at Thames Boilers. Our repair service extends to these problems and more. In fact, with all our fixed cost Ideal Boiler repairs, we throw in a standard boiler service at zero extra cost (valued at £96).

    Worcester Bosch Boiler Repairs

Worcester Bosch is a top brand and its boilers are known for their robustness. However, over their lifetime, they may experience issues like blocked condensate traps, defective circuit boards or ignition faults. Our Kidbrooke-based technicians are skilled in dealing with such repairs and providing a hassle-free, fixed price service. Also, if we use any new parts during the repair, they come with a 1-year guarantee for your peace of mind.

    Baxi Boiler Repairs

Baxi boilers are known for their longevity and performance. Common issues we resolve include a failed auto-air vent leading to pressure problems, faulty diverter valves, or blocked condensate pipes, particularly in the colder months. Our Kidbrooke engineers are highly experienced in troubleshooting and repairing Baxi boiler faults, and we stand by our no fix, low fee policy, where you only pay a small fee if we are unable to repair your boiler.

    Potterton Boiler Repairs

UK houses depend on reliable brands like Potterton boilers, however, common faults such as fan assembly complications or a defective printed circuit board may occur. The accomplished engineers at Thames Boilers are competent in performing these repairs meticulously. Also, every part replaced is guaranteed for a year, and if your Potterton boiler’s repair is unsuccessful, you will only be charged a minor fee for the engineer’s visit.

    Boiler Repair Questions & Answers

How soon can you fix my boiler?

It depends on the time of year and the weather.

In the warmer months, we can usually attend on the same or next day, if it’s a working day.

In the colder months, because it’s so busy, you may need to wait quite a lot longer for an appointment. Sorry.

Can you fix my type of boiler?

Here at Thames Boilers, we’re capable of repairing almost all boiler types, excluding oil boilers, LPG boilers, boilers that exceed 70kW and those reputed to be beyond economical repair. For any other types, we assure you, we’ll strive to rectify the issues. Please be aware, for some boilers, our fixed price repair might not be applicable, wherein costs will be worked out based on work hours and materials needed.

Do I have to pay a callout fee?

No callout fee will apply if your boiler is applicable for a fixed fee boiler repair.

However, if your boiler is not applicable for a fixed fee boiler repair, a minimum charge of 1 hour’s labour will apply for an engineer’s visit.

What if I need a new boiler?

Sometimes, it comes to pass that fixing a boiler may not be the most economical choice. That could be down to a missing part that is hard to find or when repair costs start nearing that of a new boiler. When such a situation occurs, we ensure to let you know pronto and help you understand why a new boiler is the better option. We’ll present a clear and detailed quote for a new boiler, and then leave the ball in your court to decide your next step. If you do select us to replace your boiler, we will endeavour to put you on top of our list so your new boiler is fitted as quickly as possible, usually within 48 hours.

    Boiler Servicing Questions & Answers

Will servicing my boiler fix any faults or problems?

This is a usual misconception. A boiler service is all about making sure your boiler is safe and executing regular maintenance duties. If there are issues with your boiler, a service won’t solve them.

We would suggest you reach out to us to confirm your fixed price boiler repair beforehand. Then, after the issue has been mended, you can go ahead and book your boiler in for a service.

Do I Need To Turn My Boiler Off Before It’s Serviced?

Yes, if you can be without your boiler for a while, please turn the boiler off about 30 minutes before we arrive. This gives the boiler chance to cool down, ready for our performance tests.

How Do I Check My Boiler Has Been Serviced Properly?

Evaluate if your boiler has been serviced properly by taking note of:

    1. The issuance of a service certificate once your engineer wraps up the service. This certificate, which could come through email or a physical paper, contains every detail about the checks executed on your boiler.
    2. The time taken for the work to get done. It should ideally be within 30-45 minutes for a standard service, while a full one should extend between 60 and 90 minutes. If it took far less time than what’s generally accepted, there’s a chance that the servicing wasn’t done completely.

    What Areas Do You Cover?

We cover Kidbrooke, Greater London (Greenwich) and the surrounding areas, including Charlton, Shooters Hill, Blackheath, Maze Hill, Lewisham, Greenwich, Plumstead, Woolwich, Mottingham, St Johns.
