Crayford is a town located in the London Borough of Bexley and has a population of around 11,226 residence. Crayford is a great commuter town, which means that many residents can travel comfortably and quickly to the London city center every day.
Crayford has a rich history and culture since it used to be an iron age settlement that housed Roman ruins as well as the battle of Crecganford. There are a number of notable historic building in Crayford that include Crayford Manor House, Shenstone, Stoneyhurst which is now the site for St Catherine’s Roman Catholic School for Girls, and Martens Grove and Oakwood, which were designed by John Shaw, Jr.
In 1819, Crayford started seeing numerous developments in terms of industrialization. In 1965, Greater London was established and Crayford became a County of London. Modern-day Crayford features many retail and entertainment facilities, which include gardens on the banks of the River Cray, the Tower Retail Park, as well as plant nurseries and restaurants.
