Worcester Bosch
Worcester Bosch are probably the best known boiler brand in the UK. If you want a well built boiler, but still want to support British manufacturing, then Worcester Bosch boilers are an excellent choice. However, they are some of the more expensive boilers we install.
Viessmann
Viessmann is the greatest boiler make you’ve never heard of. We’re big fans of Viessmann here at Thames Boilers because they’re as well built as (if not better) than Vaillant or Worcester Bosch, however their prices are a little lower. This makes Viessmann fantastic value – and Which? magazine agree, giving Viessmann boilers several ”Best Buy” awards in recent years.
Baxi
Baxi is another well established British boiler make, started in the industrial revolution by Richard Baxendale, an iron founder, who began the Baxendale Company (now Baxi) in 1866, based in Preston in Lancashire. Today, Baxi also make boilers under the Main and Potterton brands. We usually recommend Baxi boilers as the least disruptive replacement for some conventional boilers – and their Main boiler brand for people who want to keep costs down.
