Hadleigh's Favourite Boilers

Vaillant Boiler

Vaillant Boilers

Vaillant are one of the best known boiler makes in the UK. Vaillant were apparently the first company to make a “combi”also known as a “combination” boiler back in the early 60’s. So they’re a well established company.

Worcester Bosch Boilers

Worcester Bosch are probably the best known boiler brand in the UK. Although now owned by the massive European brand, Bosch, Worcester boilers are still very much a British company. Its boilers are still made in Warndon in Worcester.

Viessmann Boilers

Viessmann is the best boiler manufacturer you’ve never heard of. We love Viessmann at Thames Boilers because they’re as well built as (if not better) than Vaillant and Worcester Bosch, however their prices are a little lower. This makes them great value – and Which? agree, giving Viessmann boilers several ”Best Buy” awards in recent years.

Baxi Boilers

Baxi is another well established British boiler manufacturer, started in the industrial revolution by Richard Baxendale, an iron founder, who started the Baxendale Company in 1866, based in Preston in Lancashire. These days, Baxi also make boilers under the Main and Potterton brands. We usually recommend Baxi boilers as the least disruptive replacement to some heat-only boilers – and their Main boiler brand for people who are on a budget.

FAQ

As a rule, if you‘ve got one bathroom and also excellent water pressure at your kitchen tap or outdoors tap, a combi central heating boiler is typically the very best option for most people.
If you‘ve got more than one bathroom, a conventional central heating boiler (or even a system central heating boiler) with a hot water tank would be the best option.

No. For existing residences, if you need to replace your gas boiler from 2035 onwards, you won’t be allowed to put in another gas central heating boiler. According to current government plans, you would need to install a Hydrogen boiler or a heat pump. However, if your gas central heating boiler is working in 2035, you won’t be required to do anything up until it needs to be changed, such as if it’s broken down and beyond repair.

It can vary extremely depending upon what you require.
But as a rough guide, to take your old central heating boiler out and put a brand-new one in the exact same place varies from roughly ₤1800 to ₤3000.
And to take out an old sort of heating system with a hot water tank {and} fit a combi central heating boiler costs between roughly ₤3000 to ₤5000.
If you require various other jobs carried out at the same time, such as a power flush, a new gas pipe, or new radiators, this will certainly add to the estimated costs.

If you‘ve only got 1 bathroom and also excellent water pressure, yes.
If you‘ve got more than 1 bathroom or inadequate water pressure, then no{, you should look at a conventional boiler or a system boiler}.

Yes. There are several kinds of clever thermostats that can connect to the net so you can regulate your central heating boiler from your phone. Some brands customers opt for are Nest, Honeywell, Tado, and also Hive.

Yes, we cover the Hadleigh area as well as Basildon, Corringham, Langdon Hills, East Tilbury, Dartford

Why Should You Get A New Gas Boiler? Here Are 6 Good Reasons

1. Cut Your Gas Bill

If you’ve got a old G-rated boiler and you replace it with a new A-rated boiler and controls, you can save up to £570 a year on your gas bill. That’s upto an extra £47.50 a month in your pocket, not the gas company’s.

2. Stop Paying For Boiler Breakdowns

Boiler design in the last 20 years has greatly improved. High quality new boilers don’t break down as often as old boilers because modern boilers contain minimal moving parts and are subject to rigorous quality control.

3. More powerful showers and faster filling baths

Did you know a new boiler can give you a more powerful shower? Fitting a new combi boiler or unvented hot water cylinder gives the “power shower” experience without the expensive and noisey pump. If you would like to know if your home is suitable for these types of boilers, please get in touch on 0808 196 4649.

4. Stop running out of hot water

Did you know that if you get a combi boiler, your hot water never runs out? You could have a 4 hour shower and never run out of hot water. Incredible isn’t it? This is because combi boilers don’t store their hot water in a tank, but heat it up as they go, on demand. And if you have a home with more than 1 bathroom that’s too big for a combi boiler, we can design a hot water system that you’ll swear will last forever. Just get in touch today to talk about what you need, and we will let you know what you need and how much it would cost.

5. Create more space

More storage space seems to be the thing that everybody wants these days. And a new boiler can help you get it. Modern boilers can be installed safely in places old boilers couldn’t, like the attic, basement, or garage, so you can get your boiler out of sight. And if your home is suitable for a combi boiler, you can take out your hot water cylinder and water tanks in the loft, because a combi boiler doesn’t need these to give you heating and hot water. This means you can use your whole airing cupboard for storage – or in some homes – you can take it out completely and install a small shower. So why not use this oppourtunity of upgrading your boiler to do some clever space saving in your home? If you’d like some ideas for inspiration, please feel free to get in touch.

6. Never worry about switching the heating on again.

Your boiler control takes care of itself all year round, so you won’t feel chilly and need to turn the heating on manually. Also, you’ll never use more gas than you need to stay warm and cosy. That’s because modern heating controls use computer technology as well as inside and outside sensors to keep your home at the perfect temperature all year round. Clocks changed? No problem, your controls will automatically adjust. Want to change the temperature or programs? It’s easy – if you can use a smartphone or Netflix, you’ll find these controls really easy to use.
